This project involved a comprehensive renovation of a classic 1920’s bungalow-style home in Grosse Pointe Farms. The focus was on transforming the kitchen, pantry, basement stairway, and second-floor stairway with a combination of new cabinetry, fresh paint, and updated surfaces. Our team provided a full suite of interior remodeling services to enhance both functionality and aesthetic appeal, creating a warm and inviting space that respects the home’s historic charm while adding modern conveniences.
Background/Story:
Grosse Pointe Farms is known for its historic homes and timeless architecture. Ron and Roseanne wanted to preserve the character of their vintage bungalow while updating key areas to improve usability and style. Their goal was a cohesive, high-quality renovation that balanced the home’s historic charm with contemporary finishes. Our experience in period-appropriate updates and detailed craftsmanship made us the ideal partner for this project.
Scope of Services
The scope of work included:
- Replacing two cabinet boxes and installing new doors and drawers
- Spraying new cabinet doors and drawers for a smooth, professional finish
- Installing soft-close hinges and drawer slides for ease of use
- Painting the kitchen, pantry, basement stairway, and second-floor stairway with durable, stylish finishes
- Upgrading surfaces with new countertops and backsplash
- Painting walls with Sherwin Williams Sagey in emerald matte, and ceilings and trim with standard whites
All tasks were completed within a three-week timeline, ensuring minimal disruption to the household.

- Novalk Cabinet Paint in Sage Wisdom: Applied to cabinets for a durable, elegant finish that highlights their style.
- Sherwin Williams Sagey in Emerald Matte: Used on kitchen and pantry walls for a rich, sophisticated color with a matte finish.
